This is a picture of Old East Dean, the part of the village South of the A259 Eastbourne to Seaford road.
The Bowling Green, outlined in RED, can be seen on the left and the track to it, known as Little Lane, is marked in purple.
Little Lane itself leads off Upper Street which, starting at the bus stops at the bottom of the hill, comes off the A259 about 200 metres up Friston Hill on the left.
There is very little parking on Upper street (maybe three cars)
If visiting the club it is best to park in the public car park next to the Village Hall.
The hall is accessed from the A259 along Gilbert’s Drive at the bottom of the hill.
From the car parks walk up the hill, pass the Tiger Inn on your right, and continue upwards through a small private car park, onto Upper Street.
When you get to Upper Street, turn to the right and walk past the pathway entrance on your left until you get to…..
Little Lane is on the left about 30 metres from the small private car park.
Take your time, it’s a steep climb, but the view is worth it!
